Review: Quaker Real Medleys Bars

These are magnificent.  I saw them a few weeks ago and just had to try the Peach Almond kind.

There are 3 different kinds: Cherry Pistachio, Apple Nut Harvest, and Peach Almond.  Peach Almond is by far my favorite, but they are all amazing.  These aren’t all that healthy for you, despite the fact that they actually do look kind of health food-esque.  I find them to be quite filling though as a breakfast on the go, so I’ll definitely keep buying them.

Cherry Pistachio has 170 calories, 12 g of sugar, 0.5 g of saturated fat, and 85 mg of sodium.  These are the least sugary tasting.  I love the slight tartness that the cherries give it.

Apple Nut Harvest has 160 calories, 14 g of sugar, 1 g of saturated fat, and 80 mg of sodium.  These ones taste like a bowl of cinnamon apple oatmeal.  Super tasty and very juicy tasting.

Peach Almond has 160 calories, 14 g of sugar, 0.5 g of saturated fat, and 75 mg of sodium.  These are so deliciously tasty.  I find they actually taste a little more like an apricot to me, but that could just be me.

Have you tried these?  What did you think?  Will you be trying them?

Haul: Summer 2013 Polishes

So, I’m down to only 1 polish left that I can purchase on my trek to only purchase 8 polishes in 2013.  I may have miscalculate 😦  Anyway, here they are, minus Revlon Dominate which I just purchased a few days ago for the nail look that’s coming up.

You’ve already seen a few of these in NOTDs.  I got 2 Clinique polishes in Summer in the City and Grape Ice, both were limited edition summer colors, but your Clinique counters may still have them.  The other 4 are the mini cube from Essie’s Naughty Nauticals collection for Summer 2013: Full Steam Ahead, Sunday Funday, Naughty Nautical, and The More the Merrier.  Don’t they just look gorgeous?  I can’t wait to try them all!

Project Pan 2.0: Non-Dilemma Dilemmas

Calling all people who have ever done a project pan before!  So, I know that I’ve cheated a lot on this thing, enough that I should just call it quits and try again, but I won’t.  Anyway, here is the dilemma: my wedding is in September and I don’t have all the makeup I desire to put together my look.  And I do mean this truly.  I have most of what I need except for a gel eyeliner, lip liner, lipstick, and concealer.  And really, I definitely need the concealer as I don’t think I’ll be getting much sleep the night before and it’s an early morning since the ceremony is at 10 am.  And I don’t really need the gel liner I suppose.  I could get away with it.

Anyway, what should I do?  Take the massive hit to my project pan?  Or should I just give up on this until after the wedding and then start over?  I really had been doing okay for a while there, but now I seem to be wanting all this stuff for my wedding.  I think I may give up until the wedding and then re-start fresh on September 28th.  Fresh meaning toss all these old products and start with 10 blank spots all over again.  Use the same rules as currently, but attempt to stick to them better.

So, I guess that settles it, Project Pan 2.0 is a complete fail 😦  I’ll be trying again starting September 28th, 2013, so I’ll have a post up on that date setting it all up.  Maybe that time I’ll really be sucessful.  So I guess this wasn’t really a dilemma after all.  Just a sad time for the 15 products I had used up for Project Pan 2.0.  I will continue to post my empties even while not on a Project Pan.

NOTD: Essie Ole Caliente

This is Essie Ole Caliente from the Navigate Her collection (Spring 2012).  In the photo it appears almost red, but it’s like a tomato kind of color.  A red, but very orange undertones.  Quite fun for summer 🙂

NOTD: Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in Summer in the City

Wowza was this color hard to get a decent picture of.  It’s almost to the point of being neon, so my camera just freaked out.  The picture above is a tad more muted and a tad more pink than it is in real life.  This color is a true coral to me.  The absolutely perfect balance between pink and orange.  This color is just begging to be in an ombre nail look.  Perhaps I’ll give that a whirl next, when my nails have grown out a bit again.
